Have you been thinking about volunteering or substitute teaching at Hazen Union? Now’s your chance! Join us for "Become a Hazen Union School Volunteer or Substitute Night" event on Thursday, October 12, from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m. in the Hazen Union Library. At this event, you will:
- Get to know our schools’ missions, values, and the impact volunteers and substitutes can have.
- Learn about the various roles available including classroom support, tutoring, special events, and more.
- Learn more about prerequisites and the training we provide.
- Start your background check forms and fingerprinting at the same time. These services will be available on site and there is a cost to the applicant: a total of $43.25 cash for substitute applicants and a total of $41.25 cash for volunteer applicants. These fees can also be paid with 2 personal checks: one to OSSU and one to the Hardwick Police Department. Please submit this form to let us know if you will attend and might want to request fingerprinting services.
- Get your questions answered by and connect with our school staff and volunteers.
Whether you're a parent, community member, or professional looking to give back, your involvement will make a difference. Your time and expertise can inspire a love for learning, instill confidence, and help our students achieve their full potential.
