Bike Tech Class

In Hazen's Bike Tech class, students get hands-on experience learning the fundamentals of bicycle mechanics while exploring real-world STEM concepts. In this semester-long course, students diagnose and repair bikes, work with professional tools, and develop technical problem-solving skills through authentic shop experiences. Students gain practical knowledge that can lead to careers in bicycle technology, engineering, manufacturing, sales, or other mechanical trades. Those who successfully complete the course with a qualifying grade earn a Project Bike Tech Level I Bike Technician Certification, an industry-recognized credential that prepares them for employment or further STEM education. Students also apply their skills through community service projects, such as assembling and repairing bicycles for local youth programs.
