Originally from Chicago, Erin Dempsey studied voice & music theory at North Park University, where she also earned her masters' in teaching. Her philosophy of music education was profoundly influenced by her mentors, renowned choral teacher and composer Dr. Rollo Dilworth and Dr. Julia Davids. She has been active in various community and professional choirs for over twenty years, and most recently has been a member of St. Johnsbury's Halcyon Chorale since 2023. She is absolutely delighted to be a part of the Hazen community and to help support the next generation of student musicians. Outside of school, you'll probably find her curled up with a good book or hanging out with her chickens.
