Each year, Hazen music students have the opportunity to represent our school at various regional music festivals.

Middle School Chorus students may be nominated by Ms. MacNeil to participate in the Northeast District Junior High Festival, a one-day event with a culminating evening concert, at North Country Union High School in Newport, VT, as well as the new District 2 Jazz Festival at Stowe Performing Arts Center.

High school students may audition for several festivals: the Northeast District Festival at NCUHS, the District Jazz Festival at Stowe Performing Arts Center, the All-State Music Festival, and the New England Music Festival.

Audition requirements vary; it is an honor and a testament to one’s high level of musicianship to be accepted into any of these festivals. High School Select Chorus may also be nominated by Ms. MacNeil to participate in the ACDA Madrigal Festival in Burlington.
