Band provides students with a group musical experience through ensemble playing. Concentration is on the performance of high quality concert band literature, and we will study a broad spectrum of works (including original music written for bands, film/TV music, popular music, and arrangements of classical works) composed by a variety of composers from many time periods and cultures. Being part of the band is a great option for students who play a band instrument to have an ensemble experience.

Course Credit

High school students get one Fine Arts credit for one year of band. Middle school band is not credit-bearing.
