Spring Break! Students and parents are reminded that school will be closed April 20 - 24 for Spring Break.  Classes will resume on April 27, 2015.
SBAC Testing this Week:  Students in grades 7 and 8 will be participating in SBAC testing this week in the mornings in the computer labs.  All students are asked to minimize traffic and noise in the testing areas as a courtesy.
Community Service at Hazen:  Students who would like to get some fresh air and earn community service hours should see Mr. Modry about working in the greenhouse.  Earn hours while helping your school to produce fresh produce for the lunch program!
Scholarships for Graduating Seniors:  Seniors are encouraged to check their Naviance accounts for scholarship information at least weekly.  Deadlines are fast approaching.  The local scholarship application is now available - download it from Naviance or pick up a  copy in the wall pocket outside of the Guidance door.  The deadline is May 1.  If you have any questions, please see Mrs. LaPorte.
SAT Deadline approaching and Hazen Test Seats are Limited!  Hazen Union is a test center for the June 6  SAT test and students wishing to take the test at Hazen should register ASAP as the seats are filling up!  Late registrants may have to take the test at another location.  The registration deadline for the June 6 test is May 8.   Students can register at sat.collegeboard.org.  Students who need assistance with registration can make an appointment in the Guidance Office.
Community Service Opportunity:  The Wolcott Volunteer Fire Department is looking for students at least 16 years old to help with some odd jobs around the fire house and earn service hours.  The department is also interested in meeting with students who may be interested in the training to become a fire fighter.  Call Jim Holton for information and to sign up 472-3563.
