Activities Fairs:  What's fun and interesting for after school activities at Hazen?  Check out the Activities Fair to learn about the clubs and special after school programs available this fall at the Activities Fairs this week.  The fair for high school students will be TODAY, Thursday, during TSA at 9:25 AM in the gym.  The Activities Fair for middle school students will be on Friday at 12:15 PM also in the gym.
UVM College Fair:  The NEACAC College Fair at UVM will be held today, Thursday, September 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Patrick Gym.  More than 100 colleges will be represented at this college fair.  Hazen will not sponsor a field trip to the college fair this year.  Students must make their own arrangements to attend.  For more information visit NEACAC College Fair at UVM.
Homecoming 2015!  Hazen Union School will celebrate WILDCAT HOMECOMING on Friday and Saturday, September 25 and 26.  Special activities will include the traditional Wildcat Pep Rally, a dance sponsored by the Student Council on Friday, and of course the soccer games on Saturday!  Show your Wildcat Pride by supporting the Homecoming activities!
PSAT/NMQST:  The PSAT / NMQST will be administered at Hazen on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 7:50 AM. Members of the Junior class are encouraged to take the test and sophomores will be accommodated on a space available basis.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office by October 9th.  (The test fee is $15, unless FRL or part of the VSAC Trio program. Please make checks payable to Hazen Union School)
Benefits of the PSAT/NMQST:  This test measures the critical reading, math and writing skills students need to succeed in college and beyond.  It helps schools improve learning and identify students likely to succeed in advanced placement classes.
It helps students:
  • Improve their skills
  • Enter scholarship competitions
  • Practice for the SAT
  • Plan for college and career
  • Receive information from colleges
