College Representatives Visiting Today!  A representative from White Mountain Community College will visit Hazen on Thursday, October 29, at 10 AM for interested students.  See Mrs. LaPorte in the Guidance Office to sign up. 
Senior Class Meeting:  Members of the Senior Class will meet on Thursday, October 29, during the first half of TSA (9:30 AM) with the Josten's representative to decide on Graduation Invitations and pick up packets to order Caps and Gowns.  This is a very important meeting and all seniors should attend.  
Halloween Costume Contest:  Ghouls and goblins will roam the halls of Hazen at the annual Halloween Costume Contest on Friday, October 30th, in the cafeteria during lunch.   The Hazen Student Council is sponsoring the event and there will be great prizes for the Best Overall Costume, Best Costume High School and Best Costume Middle School, Best Group Costume, and Most Original Costume.  Be Creative, Have Fun and Be Safe!!
Ski and Ride Information:  The snow flurries last weekend and cooler temperatures are a reminder of the winter fun ahead in the Hazen Ski and Ride program!  Please see Mrs. Foster in Room 1 to pick up a registration packet or in the Information Carousel in front of the Guidance Office.  All paperwork for the program is due by October 29 so don't delay!  
Drama Club Production:  The Hazen Drama Club is now in rehearsal for their fall production and you will not want to miss this family favorite musical! The Hazen Drama Club will present "The Wizard of Oz" at the Hardwick Town House at 7 PM on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, November 5, 6, and 7, with a special 2 PM matinee on Saturday.  Admission to the play is $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens.  Save the date and come out to support our very talented students!
Coming Attractions......Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held at Hazen on Wednesday, November 11.  School will be closed for students on that day to allow parents to participate in conferences.  Conference appointments will be available from 12 noon to 6:30 PM.  Middle school students will have student-led conferences and will be scheduling with their parents.  High school parents wishing to schedule a conference should contact Mrs. Quinn in the Principal's Office, 472-2195, to schedule an appointment.
Parking Decals are In: The Hazen 2015-16 Parking Permits are in! Students who plan to drive to school and park in the Hazen parking lot should get an Application to Drive Vehicles on School Property form from the Information carousel in front of the Guidance Office. See Mrs. Quinn in the Principal's Office if you have a permit from last year and the same car. Those students will not need to fill out a new form but should pick up a new decal.  

After School Activities:  Hazen is pleased to offer the following new extra-curricular activities for the fall semester:
    Ultimate Frisbee - 2:45 to 3:45 PM.  Tuesdays
    Poetry and Creative Writing with Kaleb Gates - Tuesdays,  2:45 PM in Ms. Harple's room.
