Coming Attractions....May is a very busy month at Hazen..Mark your calendar and don't miss out! 
Senior Citizens Day:  The Hazen National Honor Society will honor local Senior Citizens at Hazen today, Thursday, May 28 from 10:30 AM to 12:00.  Our guests will be treated to a reception in the Library followed by classroom visits and lunch compliments of the Life Skills Cooking Class.  Students are asked to extend every courtesy to our special visitors and show their Wildcat pride by making our guest feel welcome.
Kickball Tournament is ON!  The Hazen Student vs Faculty Kickball Tournament has been rescheduled for  today, Thursday, May 28, at 3 PM.  Brandon Patridge will lead the group of Wildcats against Mike Moriarty and his group of teachers.  You won't want to miss this, so come out and cheer on the teams!
Chorus Field Trip:   Members of the Hazen Chorus will travel to Middlebury on Friday, May 29, to attend a performance of the opera! 
On-line Class Meeting:  Any student planning to take an on-line class in Spanish, Latin, or other on-line course should attend a meeting with Mrs. McCarthy and Jen Burton on Friday, May 29, at 1 PM in Mr. Mitchell's lab.  
Key Club Induction Ceremony :  The Hazen Key Club has postponed their annual induction new officers.  The new date will be announced. 
Prom 2015!   The Hazen Union School Class of 2016 is proud to announce Prom 2015 on Saturday, May 30.  Juniors and Seniors and their guests will dance under the stars and moonlight at Jeudevine Falls. Tickets are $15 single and $25 for a couple.  Students planning to bring a guest from another school must sign them up before May 28 in the Principal's Office.
Spring Sports Awards Night:  All Hazen high school athletes who participated in a spring sport should attend the Awards Night on Monday, June 1, at 6:00 PM in the Hazen Auditorium.  Family members and friends are cordially invited to attend and celebrate the accomplishments of our Wildcat athletes!!
Key Club Bake Sale!  The Hazen Key Club will hold a BAKE SALE during the Hardwick First Friday Celebration on Friday, June 5, in downtown Hardwick.  Be sure to look for the Key Club students with a table of goodies for sale!
2014-15 Yearbook Now on Sale!  The Hazen Yearbook goes is now available to purchase for only $20! Mr. Mitchell will take orders in the front lobby every morning.  The supply is limited so reserve your copy before it is too late! 
Governor's Institute Opportunity:  The summer Governor's Institute of Vermont has a few last minute spots in the Arts Institute so students have one last opportunity to make their artistic dreams a reality.  Apply at www.giv.org/applylate
CESS' Star Talk Summer Program:  Students in grades 10-12 who are interested in learning about the Chinese culture and the Chinese language can apply to attend the Star Talk Program at UVM this summer from August 1-7.  The application deadline is June 1, 2015.  For more information go to www.StarTalk 2015.
