The Season of Giving:  Time is running out to bring in your donations for the Hardwick Food Pantry and Woodbury Food Shelf and  the Mitten Tree.  Please bring in your non-perishable food donations and warm hats and mittens by Friday, December 18th.  Student volunteers from the Key Club, National Honor Society, and Hazen SADD group will be organizing and distributing the donations.  If you have already donated...thank you on behalf of the community.  

Bake Sale Fundraiser: Hazen Union middle level students are having a Holiday Baked Goods Sale to benefit the Hardwick Food Pantry. Let our students help with your holiday baking! For every 1/2 dozen cookies purchased, a 1/2 dozen will be DONATED to the Hardwick Food Pantry! Please help spread holiday cheer in our community. December Recess:  School will be closed for students for the December Recess from Thursday, December 24 until January 1st.  Classes will resume on Monday, January 4.
Ski and Ride Program:  The first Ski and Ride Program trip for this year is scheduled for January 8.  The bus to Stowe will leave at 11:45 AM following lunch and return at about 5 PM.  Think ******SNOW*!!******
Driver Education and Inclement Weather Delays:  Scheduled Driver Education driving practice will automatically be cancelled on days that school closes due to inclement weather. 
Parking Decals are In: The Hazen 2015-16 Parking Permits are in! Students who plan to drive to school and park in the Hazen parking lot should get an Application to Drive Vehicles on School Property form from the Information carousel in front of the Guidance Office. See Mrs. Quinn in the Principal's Office if you have a permit from last year and the same car. Those students will not need to fill out a new form but should pick up a new decal.  

After School Activities:  Hazen is pleased to offer the following new extra-curricular activities for the fall semester:
Chess Club:  2:45 PM on Tuesdays in the Library    
Ultimate Frisbee - 2:45 to 3:45 PM.  Tuesdays
Poetry and Creative Writing with Kaleb Gates - Tuesdays,  2:45 PM in Ms. Harple's room.
Stand Up - Social justice group meets on Wednesdays at 2:45 PM in the Library.
