The Season of Giving:  The Hazen National Honor Society, Key Club and SADD Chapter kicked off the 2016 Food Drive / Mitten Tree / and Children's Holiday Project on Monday, November 28. Collection boxes have been placed around school to collect donations of food, toys, and hats and mittens for those less fortunate during the holiday season.  Please be generous in your support of these very important projects.  The last day to donate to the Children's Project is Friday, December 9.  

December Teacher Professional Day – Students will be dismissed early (11:35 am) on Friday, December 9, 2016 to allow teachers to participate in professional development training.

Hazen Music Department Winter Concerts!  The Hazen Band and Chorus will perform their traditional concerts in December.  Mark your calendar for these special events ...the High School Band and Chorus will perform on Tuesday, December 13. The Middle School Band and Chorus will perform on Wednesday, December 14.  Both performances will be held in the Hazen Auditorium at 7 PM.  Admission to the concerts is free, but donations to the program are always appreciated.

Student Job Opportunity:  The Hardwick Elementary School REACH! Program is seeking a couple of energetic individuals to work with youth in the after-school program.  Hours are Monday - Friday from 2:45 to 5 PM.  The hourly rate is $9.60 per hour.  Knowledge of cross-country skiing is a must for one of these positions.  If you are at least 15 years of age and interested in a career working with children, this is a great opportunity for you!  Contact Erica Baker, 472-2587, for additional information.  

December Recess - School will be closed from December 26 to January 2 for the December Recess.  Classes will resume after the New Year on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.

Annual Student Information / Medical Information Update Now Overdue!  It is absolutely essential that the school has access to the most current information for our students, especially in an emergency situation or should your child become ill or injured at school.  Please update and sign the form your child brought home in the first day packet and return it to the Guidance Office as soon as possible

New Student Parking Permits for 2016-17!  Attention student drivers!  Students who drive to school and park in the Hazen parking lot each day should register their vehicle in the Principal's Office and display a Student Parking Pass.  The Parking Pass is free!  See Mrs. Quinn in the Principal's Office for a form.
