Class Rings: A representative from Jostens will visit Hazen on Tuesday, September 15, to meet with the Sophomore Class during TSA at 9:25 AM in the cafeteria. Students unable to attend the meeting can get a ring order packet on the Student Information Kiosk outside of Guidance.
Fall Open House! Parents, students and community members are invited to visit Hazen on Wednesday, September 16, for the annual Fall Open House. Teachers and staff will be on hand from 6:30 to 7:30 to meet parents and community members as we kick off the new school year.
UVM College Fair: The NEACAC College Fair at UVM will be held on Thursday, September 17, from 6:30 to 8:30 PM in the Patrick Gym. More than 100 colleges will be represented at this college fair. Hazen will not sponsor a field trip to the college fair this year. Students must make their own arrangements to attend. For more information visit NEACAC College Fair at UVM.
Activities Fairs: What's fun and interesting for after school activities at Hazen? Check out the Activities Fair to learn about the clubs and special after school programs available this fall at the Activities Fairs this week. The fair for high school students will be on Thursday, the fair for middle school students will be on Friday. Times and locations will be announced.
PSAT/NMQST: The PSAT / NMQST will be administered at Hazen on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 7:50 AM. Members of the Junior class are encouraged to take the test and sophomores will be accommodated on a space available basis. Please sign up in the Guidance Office by October 9th. (The test fee is $15, unless FRL or part of the VSAC Trio program. Please make checks payable to Hazen Union School)
Benefits of the PSAT/NMQST: This test measures the critical reading, math and writing skills students need to succeed in college and beyond. It helps schools improve learning and identify students likely to succeed in advanced placement classes.
