Your Help is Needed!  Students wishing to earn community service hours should come to the East Hardwick Church on Saturday and/or Sunday, September 19 and 20.  Volunteers are needed to give the church a fresh coat of paint, so everyone 12 years and older is welcome.  Bring your own scrapers and paint brushes..even a ladder if you can. See Mike Clark for additional information.
Middle School Field Trips to Hosmer Point:  Hazen Middle School students will all participate in learning field trips to Hosmer Point next week.  House 1 students will go on Tuesday, September 22. House 2 students will go on Wednesday, September 23.  These trips will be day trips with students returning to school in time to take the bus home at the end of the day.
Spirit Weeka nd Homecoming 2015!  Hazen Union School will celebrate  SPIRIT WEEK AND WILDCAT HOMECOMING on September 21-26.  Special activities will include the traditional Wildcat Pep Rally, a dance sponsored by the Student Council on Friday, and of course the soccer games on Saturday!  Show your Wildcat Pride by supporting the Homecoming activities!
PSAT/NMQST:  The PSAT / NMQST will be administered at Hazen on Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at 7:50 AM. Members of the Junior class are encouraged to take the test and sophomores will be accommodated on a space available basis.  Please sign up in the Guidance Office by October 9th.  (The test fee is $15, unless FRL or part of the VSAC Trio program. Please make checks payable to Hazen Union School)
Benefits of the PSAT/NMQST:  This test measures the critical reading, math and writing skills students need to succeed in college and beyond.  It helps schools improve learning and identify students likely to succeed in advanced placement classes.
It helps students:
  • Improve their skills
  • Enter scholarship competitions
  • Practice for the SAT
  • Plan for college and career
  • Receive information from colleges
