Spring Break! Students and parents are reminded that school will be closed April 20 - 24 for Spring Break. Classes will resume on April 27, 2015.
Relax with a Good Book over Break! If your plans for break include a little relaxation, be sure to check out the newest offerings in the library. Remember, you can travel to exotic places, solve a mystery, or experience fascinating new things while curled up in a comfy chair on a rainy day IF you have a great book! Community Service at Hazen: Students who would like to get some fresh air and earn community service hours should see Mr. Modry about working in the greenhouse. Earn hours while helping your school to produce fresh produce for the lunch program!
Scholarships Deadlines Approaching! Seniors are encouraged to check their Naviance accounts for new scholarship information. Deadlines are fast approaching and Spring Break is a great time to work on completing applications and writing an required essays.
GMCC Camp at Buck Lake Sponsorship: The Hardwick Kiwanis Club offers sponsorship of tuition for a week at camp at Buck Lake. Students ages 12 to 16 are eligible to apply. Applications are available at the Guidance page. Go to the Parent Information tab, then select the "Summer Opportunities" link. The deadline to submit the application is May 1.
SAT Deadline approaching and Hazen Test Seats are Limited! Hazen Union is a test center for the June 6 SAT test and students wishing to take the test at Hazen should register ASAP as the seats are filling up! Late registrants may have to take the test at another location. The registration deadline for the June 6 test is May 8. Students can register at sat.collegeboard.org. Students who need assistance with registration can make an appointment in the Guidance Office.
